ZNPP, inspection of RWFA.

As part of the diversification of nuclear fuel supply sources for nuclear power plants in Ukraine and reduction of the dependence on a single source - the Russian company TVEL, the state-owned company NNEGC “Energoatom”, in April 2014, signed a contract with Westinghouse, which produces fuel at its plant in Sweden. At the end of January 2018, this contract was extended until 2025. Six batches of RWFA (Westinghouse fuel assemblies) are planned for delivery in 2019, two batches for the South Ukraine NPP and four batches for the Zaporizhzhya NPP. On 30 August – 8 September, CRCD staff together with specialists from ZNPP and a representative from Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB took part in the receiving inspection of the fourth batch of RWFA.
