Pilot testing of processes for synthesis of coatings on zirconium alloy cladding dummies and investigation of their properties

June 1 – 7, 2019, NFC STE KIPT staff participated in the international meeting: “Pilot testing of processes for synthesis of coatings on zirconium alloy cladding dummies and investigation of their properties” held between NSC KIPT and Nuclear Power Institute of China (NPIC).

The issues discussed were:

- scientific and technical research and recent advances in the development of nuclear fuel cladding coatings;

- possibility of scientific and technical cooperation in research of nuclear fuel cladding coatings;

- development and analysis of fuel cladding dummies with protective coatings.

The parties have discussed and agreed "Technical requirements for pilot testing of processes for synthesis of coatings on zirconium alloy cladding dummies and investigation of their properties”.
